Kubota, one of the world's top-class manufacturers of compact diesel engines, is also famous for being the first manufacturer to pass the U.S. CARB ULGE* emission regulations for engines under 19 kW (25 HP). What makes Kubota different? The answer lies in the four fundamentals, "High Performance," "Energy Efficient," "Labor Saving," and "Respect for Humanity," that remain unchanged ever since Kubota started engine production in 1922. Today at its Engine Division, Kubota is not just interested in manufacturing a high power density engine, but is seriously pursuing ways to develop an engine that is both people and environmental friendly. This concept is at work in every stage of an engine's development from R&D, design, production, delivery to afterservice. Kubota engines' comprehensive strength can be seen in their cleaner emissions and the ability to readily match most any engine requirements a customer needs. With the beginning of the 21st century, the Engine Division has set a new goal for itself-to be the top manufacturer of engines up to the 75 kW (100 HP) range. There is no end to the quest, but an undying passion for the best possible engine keeps the Engine Division going.
