| The Engine Division is always looking for ways to produce the
best quality and environmentally friendly engines. In order to strengthen
the products' competitiveness and to adapt readily to future emission
regulations, the Engine Research & Development Facility and
the Quality Inspection Facility were renewed. Expert engineers and
the most technologically advanced equipment, based on the Engine
Division's accumulated R&D know-hows and measuring technology,
are gathered in these two facilities. |

| Professional analyses and research are performed on various conditions
that can hinder engine performance here. Fuel efficiency, output
power, torque, and engine endurance are all tested and recorded
by a computer in separate rooms. These computers are linked together
so that they may all share a joint database. |
